If you want to settle permanently in New Zealand along with your family, you have the Skilled Migrant visa NZ. To apply, the applicant must first submit the Expression of interest (EOI). You will claim points before submitting the Expression of Interest to Immigration New Zealand, for qualifications, work experience, age, etc.

The Immigration New Zealand selects the Expressions of Interest with the highest point scores from the Pool. This process is called selection.

Step 2: Your Resident Visa Application

At the beginning of the 2nd stage of the application process, Immigration New Zealand will lodge your Application for a Resident Visa with them.

You will have to submit proof for the claims in your Expression of Interest with all the related documents in the set format.

Immigration New Zealand will then evaluate your application as per the Government residence policy. They will also take into account the desire to settle successfully and contribute to New Zealand’s social and economic development.

You may be granted a residence visa depending upon your ability to prove of permanently settling in New Zealand, which will help you to establish yourself in skilled employment in New Zealand. Else your application may be rejected.

Most immigrants will have to apply for a work visa on their route to the residence. Immigration New Zealand will anticipate their processing time to be between 23 and 25 working days. Sometimes applications the processing time may be longer if they have to verify your information or want extra information from you.
