After your entrepreneur work visa has been sanctioned, you must institute and your planned business in a span of 1 year; this is the ‘initial stage’. You will then need your business to function successfully for at least 24 months, the ‘Balance stage’.

After running your business successfully in New Zealand for 24 months, you can pursue for residence under this category. Note, if you are successfully operating the business for 6 months, you are creating at least 3 jobs for New Zealand citizens or residents by investing at least the capital, then you will be able to apply your residence application and can fast track your residence visa.
